Power or Vinysasa Yoga

Power Yoga or Vinysasa yoga is a vigorous series of postures linked with movement that will open and cleanse your body, strengthen and lengthen your muscles, and calm, soothe, and open your mind. “All levels” means that if you’ve never practiced or you’re an experienced practitioner, you’ll feel at home, challenged, and at ease.

20/20/20-

"20/20/20 incorporates toning, cardio and abs in one class, 20 minutes of each portion provides a fun challenging workout to sculpt muscles of the entire body.

The toning portion of the class is resistance training targeting legs, upper torso and abs and can combine weights, balls, kettle bells, and bands to challenge various muscle groups.

The cardio portion of the class can utilize a multi level bench with bits of kickboxing, sports drills, boot camp exercises or circuit training, during which participants work through a series of exercises for a set time or number of reps.

During the ab portion of the class participants will focus on the "powerhouse" muscles through the core, toning and strengthening the obliques, abdominal and lower back muscles.

AquaDance Silver  (Shallow end of pool)

This is a water dance program that will begin with stretches, cardio, foot-work with a cool-down stretch.  Our first session will begin with Latin music and rhythms.  Future sessions will consist of other types of music, such as, oldies, country, jazz, etc.  Requests for music are accepted.  This class is low-impact but will raise your heartbeat and tone and target your mid-section, hips, thighs and arms.  Speed of movement in the pool will be modified for the natural resistance provided by the water and of your movements.  Instructor will teach from the deck for better visual instruction.

Deep Water Aerobics

This water exercise class uses floatation belts designed for both swimmers and non-swimmers to improve strength and cardiovascular fitness giving a whole-body workout.  The floatation belt allows muscles and joints to move freely and comfortably in the water.  The water provides resistance and makes muscles work harder without the pounding, straining or jarring.

Arthritis class

This aquatic class is beneficial to individuals who struggle with the daily aches and pains of arthritis.  Exercises help range of motion, keep joints flexible, and maintain or rebuild muscle strength.

The class offers light to moderately intense strength and static range of movement, muscular endurance, balance, and agility conditioning.  It is intended to increase flexibility, range of movement, strength, balance, agility, and cardiovascular health.  It is appropriate for all skill levels.  It promotes a sense of well being in a group setting.

Indoor Cycling

Spinning is a specific format of indoor cycling. Spinning is a cardio (aerobic) workout set to music and led by a certified instructor. Most classes last between 40 and 60 minutes. Spinning is great for people who want a motivating workout that they can control at their own pace. Even if you’re not into choreography-based fitness classes, you can still enjoy Spinning because it involves neither rhythm nor complex moves. It’s low-impact, so it’s very suitable for people who want to balance out higher-impact exercises (like running) or for people who have some joint problems.

Tabata-
High Intensity interval training.  Short periods of intense exercise with less intense recovery periods.
